About

The Shamrock has been at the heart of St. Petersburg's bar scene long before there even was one. This famous local pub, just a pint's toss across the street from the world famous Mariinsky Theater, has also been an essential part of the cultural life of the city since 1994.

Well known for its big breakfasts, Irish music, and live English football, the before and after theater crowds add a mix to the scene unique for a typical pub. A rowdy football crowd may change to an Irish folk session which in turn becomes a crowd of theater goers drinking alongside of the singers and dancers they just saw across the street.

The Shamrock has a cozy lived in feeling unlike many of the kit and polished pubs around town. With a great steak and the best Guinness in town, a game of darts at The Shamrock is well worth heading off of Nevsky to discover the charm of Theater Square in St.Petersburg.
